Bizarre Bazaar: Chicago’s Inclusive Pop-Up Market

Introducing Bizarre Bazaar

When 1,000 copies of Waylon’s World landed on my doorstep, I needed a way to sell them. Chicago’s maker markets were an option, but many felt exclusive and pricey. So, with some research—and two badass best friends, Luce James and Courtney Davidek—I created one of my own.

Bizarre Bazaar is a Chicago pop-up market that celebrates diverse creatives and keeps things accessible, affordable, and fun.

Our mission is simple:

  1. Be inclusive for creators, shoppers, and our online community.

  2. Keep costs fair while helping makers profit.

  3. Build a welcoming vibe where people shop, connect, and stay awhile.
