I hope you like my work.

Welcome to my world, where ideas turn into real things.

What you see here started in my brain and was brought to life in collaboration with other artists, designers, and producers.

No matter the medium — community, books, or events — my work starts with the same question: What’s missing, and how can I build it so people feel seen and supported?

I stand for:

Creativity
Chasing every spark of inspiration

Independence
Running my business my way

Giving back
Supporting the causes I care about

The Power of Community

I started a Slack community for job seekers that now has over 4,500 active members and growing by the day.

Experiencing job loss three times in as many years has been incredibly draining.

The repetition of reaching out to familiar contacts with the same narrative is no fun.

Despite the kindness and support, it felt like a perpetual cycle: "Here I am again, flooding your inbox, impacted by yet another round of layoffs.”

I needed a quick way to make new connections... So I did what all the cool kids are doing… I took to TikTok.

I started sharing my unemployment struggles hoping to connect with a few people in similar situations. What I found was both encouraging and disheartening.

There are A LOT of us out there… and we all have different challenges with our circumstance.

So, I shared a video with a message along the lines of "let's support each other in landing jobs," urging anyone interested to share their email for a Slack community. Since then, my inbox has been flooded with emails nonstop.

The community is a sacred, safe space for all if us in our search. We've got each other's backs through the tough stuff and love to celebrate each other's wins.

It’s pretty cool and now Rhize is an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization!

Waylon’s World

Support children experiencing foster care while reading about my little dude’s adventure to his forever home.

I lost my job during the pandemic and found myself unemployed for the darkest months of 2020/2021. Winter in Chicago is depressing and being jobless with Covid fatigue made it significantly worse. I had to find a way to get myself up and motivated every single day. Between Peloton rides and bundled up dog walks, I dove into some passion projects I’d been wanting to start.

I wrote and self-published Waylon’s World to share the story of my rescue pup Waylon and his journey to his forever home with me.

Waylon’s homecoming story is not unlike the stories of children in the foster care system.

Kids learn lessons from books and I knew his cute little character could make a difference. We use this story to inspire dignity and hope to youth in foster care and strive to show children that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

When you click buy on Waylon’s World, a copy is donated to a child entering the foster care system through our partnership with Comfort Cases.

Bizarre Bazaar

Maker’s Markets are big in Chicago; there’s one (or five) to shop at almost every weekend. I quickly realized they can be exclusive and expensive so, after a bit of research, I decided it would be just as lucrative and even more rewarding create one myself.

Bizarre Bazaar is an inclusive Chicago pop-up market dedicated to celebrating and supporting diverse creatives that I founded with my two badass best friends Luce James and Courtney Davidek.

Our mission has three parts:

  1. Be inclusive for all creators, attendees and our social audience.

  2. Stay affordable and profitable for our talented makers.

  3. Create a fun vibe for people to shop, get comfy, and stay a while!

When 1000 copies of Waylon’s World arrived at my doorstep I had to find a way to sell them.
